• Alan J. Knauf, an environmental litigator with seventeen years experience, handles land use, cost recovery, and property damage actions, has established significant environmental legal precedents in the state and federal courts and is personally involved in the acquisition of environmentally challenged sites for the benefit of his recycling company and handles all associated real estate transactions and closings. Mr. Knauf is also an Assistant Adjunct Professor of Environmental Law at the University of Rochester.

 
• Linda R. Shaw, an environmental litigation/compliance attorney, focuses her practice on environmental due diligence matters and real estate/redevelopment transactions. Ms. Shaw also handles a variety of water, air, solid and hazardous waste projects. She is the principal author of The Site Remediation and Redevelopment Act of 1997 pending before the New York State legislature and an active member of the Petroleum Risk Based Corrective Action (RBCA) task force.

In addition to evaluating environmental liability risk issues, the firm also concentrates in real estate and land use law. We are experienced in bringing projects full circle through all local and state property development requirements established by:
